THERE aren’t many voters who can have shown their colours as brightly as this.

Well-known York street entertainer Purpleman went one step further than a rosette and a poster. Instead, he has rebranded and repainted himself as Greenman — to show support for York’s Green Party in this week’s elections.

The Greens are standing against Labour, the Conservatives, the TUSC, Ukip, the Liberal Democrats and Yorkshire First in York Central, and are also contesting York Outer and the city council elections.
