DAVE Taylor is the third prominent Green who questions my integrity in standing as a local Labour candidate.
This follows on from similar comments from Liberal Democrat councillors and it is all most odd as I thought both parties were supposed to be democratic.
As to Dave's "speech to a full council", referred to in his letter Pool puzzle' (The Press, April 3) this may have been the occasion when I was sitting next to him and my recollection was that I was there to speak at his invitation and that this invitation was from the York Sport And Leisure Campaign.
It is hard to tell which hat he is wearing at any given time as he changes them with such bewildering speed.
Dave claims that the Green Party "battled every inch of the way" to "keep a pool on the Barbican site". This is a claim that features heavily in current Green Party electioneering, so let's simplify things with a question: What practical, effective action did the York Green Party take in the last three years to maintain swimming and other sport on the Barbican site?
