WE have often spoken out about the human cost of an NHS crippled by debt.
Usually, we have focused on the suffering of patients.
The tragic case of Pickering dentist Ingrid Gill, however, reveals the appalling pressures some NHS workers are under.
Mrs Gill took her own life after being forced to give up treating 1,500 NHS patients because of ill health.
She took an overdose of anti-depressants.
Patients are not the only ones suffering.
