I WROTE a comment regarding the new traffic lights scheme at Crockey Hill (Fury at lights, The Press, March 23).
I was unaware it would get printed in The Press. I have just been advised that it was printed and that a critical reply was made (Safety first, Letters, March 30).
I would just like to apologise profusely to anyone this has caused upset to; I was simply expressing my views on the scheme.
It actually isn't as bad as expected, but I still feel it could have been made to allow traffic to flow a little more freely than how it is now. I didn't mean any offence. I was just being a human being with views, which we are all entitled to.
I realise that the scheme has been put in place to reduce accidents that have been caused many times in the past at this notorious spot on the A19.
If it saves just one life then it's without doubt money very well spent, as I wouldn't wish anyone to go through unnecessary hurt and pain.
My sincere apologies to anyone who may have been offended by my comments.
Louise Gomerson, Selby.
