WHAT a surprising new development to the personality of Hugh Bayley, our MP.
They can't keep him off the local stage nowadays and his performances are Oscar quality. I would not be surprised to see him as a grey-haired OAP at the local benefit office next.
His latest role of bingo caller (Speaker of the house! The Press, April 6) surpassed anything seen during his long tenure.
Will it be curtain-call at the end of one show or curtain-raiser of a new one?
Looking closely at the Press photo, I can only count an audience of seven players in a sea of empty tables.
