The newly-formed City of York Athletics Club enjoyed further success at the Kingston Upon Hull AC open meeting, following their double-figures medal haul at Spenborough the previous weekend.

Conditions, with strong winds, were far from ideal, but they did not stop Andy Hilton striking gold in the senior men's mile, with James Palmer putting up a good show in the junior men's event.

Laura Skelton brought home two silver medals in the Under-15 girls' sprints, while Jess Foster followed up her sprint double at Spenborough with silver in the 100 metres and bronze in the 300m for the U17 women.

Chloe Mitchell also medalled in the U17 women's shot.

There were also good efforts from Liam Summers, Megan Foster and Luke Slater, who narrowly missed out on the medals in the U17 men's hammer throw.
