YOU published a story on March 29 (Grant anger of theatre donor) regarding my withdrawal of financial support for the Stagecoach Youth Theatre, after it failed to apply for a grants scheme which I recommended (The Gannett scheme, operated through newspapers including The Press in York).
In this story you quoted the former chairman of Stagecoach, Hugo Hilyard, as saying that I was responsible for sending the grant application to him and that it was sent "very close to deadline".
I would like to point out that the person responsible for sending out forms was in fact the editor's secretary at The Press (which she did at my request), and that it was sent in plenty of time for it to be completed and returned (to her).
