ANGLERS in the York area have a new-look lake to tempt them.
Conifer Lake at Allerthorpe, near Pocklington, has undergone a major redevelopment after being bought by a couple of businessmen.
Builders Keith Snaith, from York, and Wetherby-based Andy Jackson have restocked and landscaped the 3.6 acre lake which lies behind Allerthorpe Golf Course.
The 32-peg lake has 13 islands and some of them are accessible for anglers, who can target carp, tench, bream, roach, rudd, chub, perch and specimen eels.
The lake is open seven days a week and the new owners have just taken their first match booking to be held in June.
For further information about booking, contact Keith Snaith on 07890 or Andy Jackson on 01937 585183.
