I DO hope that all those who usually have a go at the European Union, parliament, etc, will along with me welcome the fact that mobile phone companies are to have their "roaming" charges capped by the powers of Brussels.
I am sure that we have all been stung when abroad with the extremely high costs for both incoming and outgoing calls. This is not something that national governments alone could not have done, due to mobile providers being cross-border multinational companies.
Well done to all MEPs who backed this action.
