NEW Earswick All Blacks girls' rugby league section have received a double boost, writes Peter Martini.
Firstly, the girls have secured sponsorship from Mitchell Landscape Designers.
Secondly, they then received news that Under-14s player Mary Tiplady had been named in the Yorkshire squad for the two-match series against the North West.
Mary is the second All Blacks player to have achieved county honours in successive seasons after Hayley Fairclough was selected for Yorkshire U16s last term.
It is hoped the girls' section of the club will be extended further next season under the watchful eye of ex-Great Britain Ladies player and All Blacks coach Julie Cronin.
