POCKLINGTON RUFC's Under-14s won the Challenge Cup at the two-day Welsh Festival in Aberystwyth, where they beat Sutton and Epsom 25-5.
Tries by Luke Holam (3), Adam Collinson and a fine team try involving Joe Elliott and Colin Wealleans earned Pock their silverware.
Earlier Pock saw off Luctonians thanks to a hat-trick of touchdowns by Collinson.
On the opening day Pock lost Woodford, whose early converted try settled the issue.
Pock bounced back to thump Daventry 41-0 with tries by Elliott (2), Holam (3), Collinson and Jacob Hart, whose scoring efforts were backed up by some fine runs by Ed Green and James Fotheringham.
Oddly, new rules were employed for the final game - against hosts Aberystwyth - which allows lifting in the lineout. Despite excellent tackling by Nick Sparkes, Pock went down three tries to nil.
The Pock youngsters received sponsorship and club T-shirts from Screwfix to enable them to go on the tour.
