REGARDING the special arrangements made for the funeral of Lord David Wharton whom, I believe, despite his name, was an ordinary citizen: who will compensate the City Of York Council for the loss of 462 hours of parking charges in Peel Street Car Park, or did the mourners pay at the machine like everyone else is expected to?
If they did not, one would presume that the same concession will be granted in the future for any other mourners at the same church.
With reference to the cost of the extra policing, who will foot this bill, or will it also be paid from the local taxes?
If extra policing is ever required at KitKat Crescent, the football club is expected to pay; so what is different in this case?
