I WISH to complain about the article by Michael Bentley in The Press (April 13) and his terminology regarding Scottish people.
I particularly take exception to his use of the phrase "ex-pat Porridge Wog". The term "wog" is a word of racist abuse and in any other context would be seen as inflammatory.
My father is Scottish, has worked in England all his adult life, paid his taxes and never claimed benefits. Because he lives in England, he will not be voting in the Scottish elections.
Mr Bentley's unpleasant stereotype of the Scots is deeply offensive to people like him and my family and the many other Scots people who have chosen to live and work here.
Fiona Samuel, Hobgate, York.
