NORTH Yorkshire golf star Simon Dyson is high among illustrious company after his illness-hit trip to China.

After being forced into a first-day withdrawal from the China Masters due to food poisoning last week, the fit-again Dyson turns his attention to the BMW Asian Open tomorrow.

The 29-year-old will bid to get his season back on track at the Tomson Shanghai Pudong Golf Club in Shanghai alongside world number five Ernie Els and Thailand's top player Jaidee Thongchai.

Els, the winner of three Majors and European Tour Order of Merit winner in both 2003 and 2004, has just returned from the United States.

Thongchai, the first Thai player to win on a European Tour event when he captured the Malaysian Open in 2004, will also prove an exciting playing partner for Dyson.

The Malton and Norton GC ace currently lies 31st in European Tour while also holding 78th spot in the world rankings ahead of a top-class tournament worth close on £250,000 to the winner.

Also in tomorrow's field are recent Masters joint runner-up Retief Goosen and Ryder Cup stars Colin Montgomerie and Paul Casey.
