PICKERING Under-15s won the York British Sugar Minor Football League division three title in style.
They entertained nearest rivals Eaingwold in a really tense battle in sweltering heat.
It remained goal-less until 20 minutes into the second half when Luke Hobbs slotted the Pikes ahead from the penalty spot.
It soon became 2-0 when Pickering netted with a long range shot and Taz Midgeley netted the third before Easingwold scored a consolation effort near the end.
