Nestle Rowntree claimed a hard-fought 2-0 victory over a strong Malton side in the Ladies York and District Hockey League.
Vicky Mulvana opened the scoring in the first half for Nestlé, who despite being reduced to ten players in the second half through injury, doubled their advantage when Julie Moore converted Vanessa Walker's fine pass.
Malton applied pressure to the Rowntree defence but good midfield play by Nestle's Tracey Maddison kept the Ryedale side at bay.
