You kindly printed an article about our forthcoming Cycle Tracks festival at the National Railway Museum (Recycle your cycle, April 20).

The article was accompanied by a photo of me riding the amazing Jabberwocky, which was actually built, not by the BikeRescue Project directly, but by our friend Tom Riley, who passed it to us for posterity.

Sadly Tom passed away the very day the photo was taken, so it is only right that proper tribute is paid to this wonderful character by adding due credit for his contribution.

Jabberwocky reflected Tom's character as we encountered it. A quirky genius, who could think the unthinkable and ride the result.

He will be missed throughout the world of cyclists, steam engines, vintage Citroens, and far beyond.

A special tribute will be paid at the Cycle Tracks festival to celebrate Tom's enthusiasms for bikes and railways.
