WE ALREADY have music to work to, music to drive to, and there has always been music to dance to. With Ciara's The Evolution, we now have music to lap dance to.
This is hot adult stuff and it instantly conjures images of gaudy backstreet nightclubs in Amsterdam. In Ciara's own words, her music makes her want to move her waist and move her hips. This is physical stuff, as raunchy as the censors will allow.
Ciara's brief appears to have been to deliver a female equivalent to Justin Timberlake's explosive futurelovesexy set. So don't expect to find a decent song.
However, there is attitude, posing and lipstick pouting to spare, as Ciara purrs through Like A Boy and the charming Bang It Up.
The set is very naughty, but polished. If they can bear the inane nuggets of street wisdom, this should delight those with a penchant for J-Lo or Fergie.
