THE use of speed cameras has been suggested in the city. What about tachographs in cars to protect the motorist, providing a driver with technological back-up should the cameras read their speed wrongly?
A programme on TV not so long ago showed the faults on the cameras, and that recorded "speeds" were not correct when they were checked out.
Let's be like the commercial sector in all vehicles, and give the motorist some protection against wrongful penalties.
