I AM writing to you in regard to the article Residents' Anger At Graffiti Attacks (The Press, April 25).
I live in South Bank, York, and phoned the head teacher of Millfield School about the bad behaviour of some of the children at his school, who go out at lunchtime throwing litter, bread, spitting and banging on windows and doors, kicking footballs at windows and cars and stones.
When I say "stop it" to the children, I get a lot of verbal abuse.
It is quite disgusting foul language.
The council can fine residents £100 for putting the rubbish out before bin day, so why doesn't the council fine the children's parents for all the mess they leave? Isn't the abuse called antisocial behaviour? It is so peaceful round here when it is the school holidays. I would be very happy if the school closed down.
