THREE high-flying students from Tadcaster Grammar School have been offered places at Oxford and Cambridge universities.
Ben Sharples, Harry Rodgers and Ben Lewis went through the difficult application process and were successful in receiving offers, which are dependent on their final exam results.
Ben Lewis and Ben Sharples both have the offer of a place at Gonville and Caius College, Cambridge, to study medicine and maths, respectively.
Their classmate Harry is bound for an economics degree at Brasenose College, Oxford.
Head of Sixth Form Nancy Budler said: "I am immensely proud of all our students who applied to Oxford and Cambridge. They were all brave enough to take a chance and embark on a difficult application process,. It is fantastic that eight students were called for interview with three of those being offered places. Oxford and Cambridge are particularly difficult to get offers from, but there are many competitive courses out there and our students have been both brave and bold in their applications.”
