DETAILS about the history of a York green space have been made available to the public through a new sign.
The new sign has been put up on Acomb Green and shows how the space has been used by generations of local residents, with old maps, pictures and paintings included.
The sign was researched, funded and designed by former secretary of Friends of Acomb Green Judith Johnson, who now lives in Australia.
Cllr Keith Myers, Acomb ward councillor and founder of the Friends, said: “We are indebted to Jude for all the hard work she gave to the group and especially for the work on this new sign.”
