BIN collection days will change for around a third of all households in York from this Monday, April 3.
Households affected by the changes were sent new rubbish and recycling calendars in early March.
People can also check their next collection at www.york.gov.uk/refuselookup or download the free One Planet York app to get alerts straight to their phone.
These changes have been made to make waste service more efficient and cost effective. Reorganising collection routes means the council can include new housing developments and homes without having to allocate additional resources. The service will also save approximately £400k, and be able to roll out recycling collections to rural areas that do not currently have them.
Rubbish (grey bin/black bags) and garden waste collections are not affected.
