THE grounds at Castle Howard are a riot of spring colour ahead of it reopening to the public on Saturday.
Set in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, near Malton, Castle Howard became nationallyand internationally famous following its starring role in the film and TV series Brideshead Revisited.
From this weekend visitors can enjoy world-renowned collections, stunning architecture, 1,000 acres of grounds, formal gardens, woodland and lakeside walks.
While children can let off steam in the privately owned stately home’s adventure playground.
Before admission to the house, the 18th century stable courtyard with its café, farm shop, garden centre and gift shops is open all year to the general public.
Admission prices to the house and gardens are £18.95 for adults, concessions £17.50, children aged 4 - 16 are £9.95 and a family ticket costs £47.85. Under fours are free.
