A CYCLIST broke several ribs and fingers when she was involved in a crash with a car.
North Yorkshire Police is appealing for witnesses after the collision at the Boroughbridge Road junction with Malvern Avenue, York.
It happened at 8am on Tuesday and involved a silver 4×4 car.
The female cyclist received several broken ribs and broken fingers on her left hand and was taken to York Hospital where she is awaiting an operation.
The driver of the 4×4 vehicle is assisting police with the investigation.
