A MOTORCYCLIST has been injured after the bike he was riding came off a road in North Yorkshire.

Police were called to the collision in Sowerby Lane, Timble, near Harrogate, at about 12.50pm today.

The man was taken to Leeds General Infirmary. A spokesperson for North Yorkshire Police was unable to confirm the severity of his injuries.

The road was closed while emergency services dealt with the crash.

A biker also came off his motorcycle on the A59 at Blubberhouses, west of Harrogate, but is not believed to have been injured, the police spokesperson said.

Police were called to this collision at about 1.30pm today.
