A 70-YEAR-OLD pedestrian has died after he was hit by a car in East Yorkshire.
Humberside Police said the man and a 70-year-old female pedestrian sustained serious injuries in the collision at 10.45am on Saturday in Bridlington’s South Marine Drive.
Both were taken to Hull Royal Infirmary for treatment.
The force has confirmed that the man has subsequently died of his injuries, while the woman remains in hospital.
A spokesman for Humberside Police said: "Two pedestrians were struck by a blue Peugeot 308 as it left the road.
"The driver of the Peugeot was taken to Scarborough hospital for medical treatment and has since been discharged. The front seat passenger of the car sustained minor injuries and three back seat passengers were not hurt in the collision."
