York residents can collect compost between 8.15am and 12pm on September 24 and October 8 and 22, but need to take their own shovels and containers to take the compost home. Only cars, pickups, vans and single axle trailers will be permitted. Larger vehicles and trailers will not be accepted.
York residents can also get compost bins on buy-one-get-one-half-price via www.getcomposting.com.
