A MANAGER at a York hotel was put through his paces when he completed a 140-mile charity bike ride.
Steven Houghton, guest relations manager at Hotel Indigo York, was one of 21 cyclists to take on the two-day challenge through the Yorkshire Dales, in aid of the IHG Foundation, a not-for-profit organisation working to achieve long-lasting benefits for communities.
Mike Sweeting, general manager, said: “Steven only recently joined our team so it’s great to see him getting stuck in, helping to raise money for a worthy cause. He definitely deserves a pint or two for his efforts.”
The IHG Foundation helps communities to develop skills in hospitality, supports those hit by disasters, facilitates community investment and protects the environment.
