POLICE say they have dealt with anti-social behaviour from a large group of people who congregated in York today.
The group included people from South Yorkshire and the North East, according to North Yorkshire Police's York City Centre Neighbourhood Team.
The team tweeted: "11 have been dispersed so far."
PC Kirven, a member of the team, added: "We got reports from various businesses around the city centre about individuals causing anti-social behaviour inside and outside shops, including throwing food around."
The team also tweeted that three people were stopped leaving York train station for causing anti-social behaviour on the train and "dispersed from the city centre for 48 hours."
Police have been out and about on the streets of York today as part of Operation Erase.
