FANS of a classic novel were treated to a book signing as York Theatre Royal prepares to stage a new adaption of Pride and Prejudice.
Emma Dubruel appeared as Jane Austen at Waterstones in Coney Street, York, to promote a new comic performance of the novel by stand-up comedian Sara Pascoe.
The show is part of next month’s Page to Stage season, with other novels featured in coming months include Agatha Christie’s A Murder Is Announced, Hans Christian Andersen’s Ugly Duckling, Brighton Rock and The Railway Children author E Nesbit’s The Book of Dragons.
The event marks a partnership between York Theatre Royal and Waterstones York giving theatregoers special offers on certain books in the coming season.
The production features original music by Emmy the Great.
