HULL'S UK City of Culture celebrations will make it to York next month, with a special event to be held at the city centre library.
The venue it so host a sneak preview of Hull Noir, with bestselling writers Nick Quantrill, Louise Beech, David Mark and David Young.
The four authors will be talking about Hull and Humberside both as a location for gripping crime fiction and as an influence on their writing.
Hull Noir is taking place at various venues in Hull over the weekend of 18 and 19 November, but the preview will be held at York Explore Library and Archive on Thursday, November 2 at 6pm.
Tickets cost £7.50 and can be booked online at www.exploreyork.org.uk/bigcityread or at any library in York.
The York event is part of the Big City Read, which runs until November 10 with weeks of events to share the joy of reading.
The final event takes place on Friday, November 10 with crime writers Mark Billingham and Chris Brookmyre.
