A MAN was punched in the head, leaving him with a fractured jaw, on Church Street in the city centre.

Police say two men and a woman approached the victim on January 28 at about 1am.

One of the men then punched the victim in the head.

The suspect is described as white with short dark hair, about 23 years old, small to medium build and roughly 5ft 5ins tall.

He is believed to have been wearing a black jumper and black trousers.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information to call 101, select option 2, and ask for Jon Bostwick.
