BEER lovers can enjoy a tipple or two and live music at a festival near York on Saturday (May 19).
The eighth annual Stillingfleet Beer and Music Festival will feature cask ales from 11 independent Yorkshire breweries.
Stillingfleet singer Jan Nielsen heads the music programme line-up with sing-a-long folk songs.
Other local acts who will take the stage during the afternoons will be York trio The Renames singing folk-rock, pop and blues, Moor Monkeys of Moor Monkton, singing popular songs from several decades from rock to country and York band Boxcar Riders with an eclectic up-tempo mix of pop rock and blues covers.
The music will alternate with novelty competitions, and there will be a TV set up in a separate room for Royal Wedding watchers. For the non-beer drinkers, there will be cider, wine, Prosecco and soft drinks. The festival starts at noon, at Stillingfleet Village Hall.
