THE restorative power of silent meditation will be explored in Silence in the Minster, three special after-hours events taking place this summer in York Minster’s Nave.
The Revd Canon Dr Christopher Collingwood, Chancellor of York Minster said people were 'plugged into an amazing, exciting but often overwhelming online, digital world' with a huge amount of pressure to be involved and connected 24/7.
He said the free events would allow people to encounter the calming, healing power of silent meditation and silence, possibly for the first time.
They all start at 7pm, and take place next Wednesday, on Thursday June 21 and Wednesday July 25.
