MORE than 2,000 people turned out for a Summer Fair in Stamford Bridge, which boasted everything from donkey rides to crazy golf.
This year the theme was all about holiday camps - all the organisers donned bright yellow jackets with a nod to the popular 1980s sitcom “Hi-de-Hi!”
Special thanks went to McCarthy and Stone, the housebuilder behind the Sovereign Court Lifestyle Living development on Low Catton Road, one of the main sponsors of the event.
The Summer Fair organiser Jenny Harris was presented with a cheque for £200 by McCarthy and Stone marketing executive Tina Morrell.
Jenny said: “The purpose of the Summer Fair was to bring the community together for a day of fun and entertainment.
“This year the stallholders raised a wonderful amount of funds for their chosen charities both local and national.”
