FIREFIGHTERS tackled a car fire in York today (October 26).
A crew from Huntington was called to the incident off New Lane at around 9.40am.
It involved a Ford car, which suffered fire damage to the engine compartment only, North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
A spokesperson for the service added: "One hose reel was used and the cause is believed to be an electrical and fuel fault."
