The Festive Lobby at York’s Principal hotel
A GROUP which owns The Principal hotel in York has joined an international hotel company.
The Principal, in Station Road, has announced that it has joined the InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) collection of worldwide hotels. The Principal group, which invested £20 million to complete a restoration and refurbishment of the hotel in 2016, will now form part of IHG’s luxury hotel portfolio.
Tracy Harrison, Principal general manager, said: “The move to become part of the IHG collection reflects our commitment to providing our guests with the ultimate indulgent hotel experience.”
