York could see thunderstorms on Thursday
THUNDERSTORMS could bring flooding and travel disruption to York and North Yorkshire later this week.
The Met Office has issued a yellow warning for heavy showers and thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon and evening.
It said there was a small chance of buildings being flooded quickly, lightning strikes and power cuts.
"There is a small chance of fast flowing or deep floodwater causing danger to life,"it added.
