A YOUNG girl has been creating ‘hope’ bracelets to support elderly people currently living in isolation due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Thea Subritzky, six, has been making her rainbow-themed bracelets to help those in need.

Once she has made them, Thea is then hoping to sell them to raise money to put together gift boxes for the elderly who are isolated from family and friends at this time.

Thea’s mum, Kate, said: “She came up with the idea all by herself, and gets so excited when a new order comes in.”

Thea keeps track of them all, makes them up, packages them, and even sticks the address on herself.

Kate went on to say: “She was worried that a lot of the elderly would feel lonely, and wanted to show them we are thinking of them.”

Thea has so far made 56 bracelets which have all sold.

She plans to make many more in the future to make as much money as possible to aid those in isolation.
