A WELL-KNOWN UK folk musician is set to return to York for her annual Christmas tour this year.

Kate Rusby, who has been performing for over 25 years, is set to perform at York Barbican in December.

To date, Kate has released five albums of songs and carols from this marvellous Yorkshire-inspired tradition, including Holly Head – her latest Christmas Album.

A spokesperson for York Barbican said: “Kate’s happiness, sense of humour and her storytelling are also a feature of her live shows, where each venue becomes her front room and you are her very welcomed guests.”

A Kate Rusby Christmas concert is inspired by the traditional carols that are sung in the crowded pubs of South Yorkshire, where she sat in the corner as a child. Book your tickets for Kate’s show by visiting: yorkbarbican.co.uk

York Barbican is the largest music and arts venue in York, hosting some of the biggest touring acts in the country such as Morrissey and the UK Snooker Championships.
