FIREFIGHTERS rescued a horse after a lorry collided with it in an East Yorkshire village.
Humberside Fire & Rescue Service said the accident happened at just after 5am yesterday in Main Street, Long Riston.
It said a large goods vehicle was in collision with a horse, which was removed from underneath the lorry using a 'line and ratchet strap,' and the incident left with police. It did not say how badly injured the animal was.
