One of York's biggest employers has announced changes to its bonus scheme for managers.
Aviva Plc, which has about 2,000 staff in York, has said that in light of the 'significant uncertainties presented by Covid-19 and the need for continued prudence', it has agreed a number of changes to senior manager remuneration.
Executive directors and the Aviva leadership team will not be considered for any bonus for 2020 'until dividend payments are restarted for ordinary shareholders', said a spokeswoman.
Also basic pay increases for executive directors and the leadership team, which had been due to come into effect on April 1, will be paused until dividend payments are restarted for ordinary shareholders.
