A PRISON where many York and North Yorkshire men serve their sentences is among those to get special anti-coronavirus help.
HMP Humber is among seven prisons to get extra cells so that prisoners can have a cell to themselves.
According to the latest figures released, the prison between Selby and Hull has 1044 inmates in 951 cells.
Five hundred temporary cells will be built in the seven prisons.
They were chosen because of their high number of prisoners sharing cells, lack of in-cell sanitation and their high number of vulnerable prisoners.
