York Hospital
A MAN has been arrested after a police officer was allegedly assaulted at York Hospital.
PC Will Leah said police were called to the Emergency Department of the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
PC Leah tweeted that he arrested a man for being drunk and disorderly “after being abusive towards staff, resisting arrest and assault an emergency worker on myself."
He added: "This kind of behaviour will not be tolerated and is totally unnecessary."
The man has been released under investigation.
