I have been really impressed with the way business people are adapting to working from home, modern technology has changed things radically. However, I question the logic of HS2. This already antiquated idea is not really fit for purpose. Why not scrap it and divert the funds into the NHS?

Let’s hope we don’t need help from anyone else
John Zimnoch (Letters, April 17) is delighted that we won’t be contributing to the EU’s support of virus-stricken Italy and Spain.
As the UK lurches towards the worst outbreak of Covid-19 in Europe let’s hope we won’t be needing help from anyone else!

Do we need this new Project Fear?
Are remnants of Project Fear active within City of York Council? Why should they scare the public by suggesting hundreds more people in York could die of coronavirus by October (York could see as many as 1,600 Covid-19 deaths, April 17) when at time of writing the figure was 55?
