POLICE have issued CCTV of a man they would like to speak to after a burglary in York, in which a woman was attacked.

It happened at a property on Hob Moor Terrace, in Dringhouses, when at least two suspects forced their way into the victim’s home using a baseball bat, North Yorkshire Police said. They then fled in a five-door silver or light blue coloured car, the force added.

A spokesperson for the force said: "One of the victims, a female in her 20s, was attacked in the street outside her home. Luckily, she did not sustain any injuries but a very distinctive gold Buddha pendant (pictured) was stolen during the incident.

York Press:

"Officers are asking members of the public to get in touch if they recognise the person in the CCTV image as they believe they will have information that will help the investigation.

"If anyone recognises the man in the CCTV image, or has any information about the incident or the whereabouts of the distinctive necklace then they are urged to get in touch."

The burglary happened at 8.10pm on March 20.
