THREE more patients with coronavirus have died at hospitals run by York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

The additional fatalities takes the total number of deaths at York Hospital and Scarborough Hospital to 107.

The Press has asked the trust for a breakdown between the two hospitals.

NHS England said that nationwide, a further 329 people who tested positive for Covid-19 had died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 18,749.

It said the patients were aged between 29 and 100, with 22 of them, aged between 29 and 89, having had no known underlying health condition.
