York Theatre is asking what "everything is possible" means in lockdown Britain.

It wants the 350 volunteers who took part in its recent production on suffragettes to answer the question in a 10-second video of themselves.

A spokesman said: "Don’t worry if it isn’t great quality, just make sure we can see and hear you! Your response could be a line from the production, a memory, anything. We’ll be sharing these videos on our social media channels in the run up to the stream premiere on 6 May."

A recording of the 2017 production: Everything Is Possible, the York Suffragettes: will be on the theatre's YouTube channel until May 31.

More than 150 actors and a choir of 80 took part when it was staged in conjunction with Pilot Theatre of York in 2017. It got excellent reviews in local and national newspapers, including from York Press's Art Editor Charles Hutchinson.

It was based on real events during the suffragette movement in York.

The videos should be in landscape form and can be sent to marketing@yorktheatreroyal by this Sunday.
