PATIENTS from York and North Yorkshire will be able to have cancer operations at a coronavirus free cancer hub.
The cancer hubs are organised through the existing Cancer Alliances run by the NHS.
The location of the regional hub serving the North Yorkshire area is not being released to ensure it remains coronavirus free.
Anyone who thinks they may have cancer symptoms is being urged to contact their GP first and not delay contacting them through coronavirus fears.
Those patients already being treated for cancer are being urged to follow their doctors' advice.
Their consultant will tell them if they will have treatment at the coronavirus free cancer hub.
York, East Yorkshire and most of North Yorkshire are part of the Humber Coast and Vale Cancer Alliance.
Harrogate is part of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Alliance.
